4-H Outdoor Classroom

Each Land Grant University has an Extension Service dedicated to providing citizens quality research-based information to improve their lives and their communities.

4th graders attend a daylong outdoor educational event at Camp Virgil Tate, Kanawha County, West Virginia.  Youth rotate through science, health, and agriculture programs through out the day.  Youth will experience water sampling, gain knowledge on growing herbs, analyze soil, learn the importance of nutrition, and enjoy physical education.
