Central Cambria High School’s FIRST Tech Challenge team, The Digital Devils, welcomes readers, makers, and coders of all ages and abilities to join us for an afternoon of FUN! Participants should come equipped with a favorite literary character and/or scene from a book and their imaginations. We’ll provide the rest! Participants will learn the basics of block coding and robotics through the use of MakeCode and the Hummingbird Bit. They’ll get a glimpse of what engineers, computer programmers, and other problem-solvers do as they work with other participants to brainstorm solutions and work through the engineering design process. Participants will also get to exercise their creative muscle by making a diorama that will come to life through the use of sensors, lights, and motors. We’re looking forward to some amazing creations!
