K-4 grade learners, their parents and community partner will create a community garden with all of the sensory items that would stimulate all. The garden will be use as a common space for learners, staff, parents and community.
The event will be the led by our scholars. They will design the outdoor space and determine the necessary items needed to complete the community garden. The day of the event the scholars will lead parents staff and community in the planting and design of the community garden space. They will display their art designs and assemble/place their sensory items, and plants. The community garden will be managed by Parents, scholars staff and community partners. The day of the event there will be a sign-up sheet for weeding, watering and fertilization. This community garden will be a community space on campus that will be utilized the entire year. The event will be a holistic one that will bring the community together. Our community will gather and work together to create a wonderful community garden full of sensory pleasing scenery.
