About this Event
Curiosity takes center stage as our youngest learners explore science, coding, engineering, art, and math through joyful, hands-on play.
Kindergarten students will participate in a joyful, school-day STEAM experience designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on play. Because kindergarten does not attend the library during the regular special rotation, this event provides a unique opportunity for our youngest learners to explore STEAM learning in an engaging, developmentally appropriate environment.
Students will rotate through five interactive stations, each intentionally aligned to a STEAM discipline:
Science – Magnetic Monorail
Students will investigate magnetism by building and testing monorail tracks, discovering how magnets attract and repel while supporting motion and movement.
Technology – Intelino Smart Train
Learners will use color-coded commands to control a smart train, introducing foundational coding concepts such as sequencing, cause and effect, and computational thinking. This playful experience builds early understanding of how technology responds to human input—an important first step toward understanding coding and artificial intelligence.
Engineering – Air Toobz
Using air-powered tubes and connectors, students will design and experiment with pathways that move objects through airflow. This station promotes problem-solving, testing, redesigning, and collaboration—core engineering practices—while delivering high-energy fun.
Art – Sticker Box Creation Station
Students will express creativity through design and visual storytelling, strengthening fine motor skills while making artistic choices.
Math – UNO Games
Through guided play, students will practice number recognition, color matching, counting, turn-taking, and early strategic thinking.
This event celebrates learning through play—an essential element of kindergarten instruction and the Remake Learning philosophy. By rotating through stations, students experience multiple entry points into STEAM while building confidence, curiosity, collaboration skills, and excitement for future learning.
This event is by invitation only for Mountain View kindergarten students, select school staff and caregivers.
