Cornhusk Doll Making

The Breathitt County Museum is a non-profit organization which displays and teaches the history of Appalachia.

This workshop is for children, ages 6-10 and is limited to not more than 18 children. Each child may be accompanied by one parent.

The event will take place at the Breathitt County Museum, 329 Broadway, Jackson, KY on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00 in the afternoon.

The workshop will be lead by retired art teacher Janie Griffith, assisted by several members of the Breathitt County Retired Teachers Association. During the workshop, each child will make one old-fashioned cornhusk doll and will be given enough take home materials to create one more when they are at home. The workshop will last approximately 1 hour (maybe a little longer. Light refreshments will be available).
