To kick off the festival, Covington is hosting more than a twenty free activities at the public library and nearby sites. Join in the fun!
Come down to the Covington Public Library on Sat. May 14 from 1:00-3:00 for tons of family fun!
We’ll have nearly 20 free activities for kids of all ages and their families! Download a schedule here.
Activities include:
- Touch a fire truck and learn fire safety from Covington firefighters
- Take a word walk through the neighborhood
- Learn face painting and try it on each other
- Plant sunflowers in a community garden
- Build a tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows
- Make a giant track for a ball or a small track for a marble
- Write a story with just 6 words
- Learn cool facts about the May 15 lunar eclipse
- Make a painted rock, a pirate eye patch, a comic book and much more!
