Combine crafts and science at ScrapsKC! Come look through a light microscope and get an extreme close-up of images taken with an electron microscope. Activities will be led by instructors from the Stowers Institute for Medical Research. We will look at different fibers with different technologies and complete an exploratory activity that involves identifying types of threads in dryer lint. Feel free to bring your own dryer lint but dryer lint will also be supplied!
All participants get to take home a free Foldscope kit for further exploration. What will you explore?
