Fallingwater’s Annual Gnome House Design Symposium
Hosted by: Fallingwater
May 20 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm$10
Fallingwater is a house designed in 1935 by renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). The house was designed as a private residence and weekend home for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner, Edgar J. Kaufmann, Sr. Fallingwater is one of Wright’s most widely acclaimed works and best exemplifies his philosophy of organic architecture: the harmonious union of art and nature.
Each year, students from all over the world participate in Fallingwater’s Gnome House Design Challenge. Join us on Sunday, May 20, 2018, and meet this year’s student architects (and their gnome clients). Check out their Gnome House Design concepts, architectural models, and drawings that will be on display in our Hillman Education Pavilion. RSVP required. Tours of Fallingwater not included but may be scheduled separately.
