About this event

Using a solar trainer and a volt meter students will participate in a hands on interactive demonstration of how photovoltaic solar panels work. Presentation is intended for ages 10 and above.

Everyone knows what solar panels do, but what is the science behind how they work? We will explore the chemical makeup of solar panels and the parts needed to make a simple solar power system for a home or cabin. Lastly, remake learners will use voltmeter to track the path of light transformed to DC electricity to stored energy to AC electricity!!
