The Fred Rogers Institute and Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh invite informal educators to a networking breakfast focused on the topic of relationships and day-to-day interactions in our practice.
Come network with fellow informal learning educators to share practical ideas for building relationships with children, youth, and families! During this informal breakfast, we will draw from a collaboration between the Fred Rogers Institute and Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh funded through the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS). During this project, we worked with three informal learning organizations in Western Pennsylvania (Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Allegheny County Library Association, and Westmoreland Museum of Art) around the topic of relationships. Staff participated in Simple Interactions (www.simpleinteractions.org) workshops and did a deep dive into their own practice through projects inspired by the Simple Interactions approach. This networking event will provide an opportunity for informal educators to connect around the relationships and interactions that matter most to them in their everyday work.
