Come check out Steeltown Film Academy at our open house and LIVE production studio! Learn about SFA and our available youth programs as part of Steeltown’s Youth and Media division.

Try your hand at the art of storyboard drawing. We will have teaching artists on hand to explain the craft of storyboarding and provide scripts for students to use as a guide for their storyboard creations – or use your imagination to illustrate your own story!

Students (and their parents!) can also part of a REAL production set as we recreate some of Pittsburgh’s most famously filmed productions including The Dark Knight, Perks of Being a Wallflower, and more! Teaching artists will guide students and their families through the filming of a scene of their choosing. Try your hand at various film production roles! Positions available will include directing, cinematography, on screen talent, and others. The process will be documented via our Facebook Live stream so filmmakers can catch their finished project and share with their friends and family!

More information about Steeltown Entertainment Project (a nonprofit organization), our show РThe Reel Teens Pittsburgh, Steeltown Film Academy, and our Youth and Media Program will be made available in an Open House atmosphere. Light refreshments will be served.
