About this Event

This is a student centered and led event designed to give the community information and resources regarding mental wellness.

Mental Health Matters Day is a senior project that is seeking to engage our student community and the larger community with a focus on Mental Health. Our students are very aware of the current mental health crisis that is having a strong impact on themselves and their peers. A group of about 8 students are spearheading a whole school event that aims to connect students with education, local resources, and experiences that promote mental wellness. Broadly the event has four different focus areas: Education and Resources, Physical Activities, Mindfulness and Coping Skills, and The Power of Play (games). Within each focus area, students can choose to visit all the exhibits or choose the ones that most interest them. The students’ hope is that all students in our school will walk away with resources and skills they can use to promote their mental wellbeing.
