Students from the Penn State College of Engineering, Earth and Mineral Sciences, and Information Sciences and Technology will showcase their efforts addressing problems for clients from around the world. Each project is accompanied by a summary and short video--some have materials specifically for K-12 visitors. All visitors can vote in a variety of awards.
Join us for the Learning Factory Virtual Showcase!
For 25 years the Showcase has celebrated the collaboration of students and sponsors on design projects from across the disciplines. In 2020 we moved online, enabling visitors from around the world to join with us. Visitors can browse through the projects and check out the posters and videos. You can even vote for which projects receive our Best Project and Best Video awards!
Think of this as a “Science Fair” for college students. They will work all semester long as a team to address a particular design challenge posed by clients from around the world. They are eager to demonstrate their work! Participating Penn State Colleges include Engineering, Earth and Mineral Sciences, and Information Sciences and Technology.
The Learning Factory is the College of Engineering Maker Space and we coordinate the largest multi-disciplinary client-sponsored Capstone Program in the world. We have a number of activities throughout the year. For more information about the Learning Factory, visit our website.
