KC STEM Alliance is a collaborative network of educators, businesses and community partners working together to inspire interest and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to build a well-prepared workforce and vibrant STEM-literate community.
The Perry Initiative inspires young women to be leaders in orthopedic surgery and engineering by partnering with medical centers, universities and high schools nationwide. The program comes to Kansas City on May 2, offering high school students in grades 10 and up the chance to hear from female leaders in these fields. During the workshop students will perform mock orthopedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments.
