Join us as 36 teachers from around the region showcase how they've integrated innovation into their teaching this school year. From hydroponic gardens to the creation of student-run businesses, fellows have implemented creative, future-ready learning opportunities for students.
Following a successful pilot program last year, the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) launched in 2023 the next iteration of the transformED Teacher Innovation Fellowship.
This initiative reflects the AIU’s commitment to support the professional development of educators by convening teacher leaders interested in instructional innovation to incubate new approaches to teaching and learning. Fellows spent the year experimenting within their classrooms. Each fellow received a mini-grant of $1,500 to purchase technology, subscriptions, maker materials and other resources to support their innovative teaching approaches.
This session will celebrate the conclusion of the 2023 fellowship, showcasing the projects of each fellow. This event will provide insights and practical advice on how to integrate instructional innovation in classrooms that range from kindergarten to high school.
