World’s Largest Matt’s Maker Space

Hosted by Mt. Lebanon School District
Saturday, May 16 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Mt. Lebanon School District is a nationally recognized and award-winning school district. The district operates seven elementary schools (grades k-5), two middle schools (grades 6-8) and a high school (grades 9-12). The combination of a highly trained staff with educated and committed families results in students who achieve local, state and national honors in instructional, athletic and arts forums.

Matt’s Maker Space is a place where kids can explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) through experiential and hands-on learning.Matt’s Maker Space was started by the Conover family in memory of their son, Matt, who loved technology, creating and tinkering. He passed away from cancer at the age of 12. There goal is to inspire a new generation of creative, collaborative and experiential learners through STEAM focused programming.

Each of the Mt. Lebanon School District elementary schools have their own Matt’s Maker Space. Come join us at the Mt. Lebanon High School where all seven spaces join together to create one amazing experience. There will be lots of fun activities for kids of all ages…even adults. Have fun playing games, completing challenges, trying coding, and just “making” your own way.
