Calling all songwriters, beatmakers, and mix engineers ages 16-22: come share your tracks, hear how they sound in a professional studio, get feedback from peers and professionals, eat snacks, and meet other creative young music makers in Pittsburgh.
Are you interested in hearing your tracks on a professional studio sound system, and hearing what peers and professionals think of your track? Participants have the opportunity to come to play one of their songs in Lighthouse Studio for a group of peers and professionals and get feedback. Lighthouse Studio is a professionally designed recording studio with full acoustic treatment, Kali Audio monitors, and a subwoofer. Each participant will be limited to 4 minutes to play a song, and 4 minutes to receive feedback. We’ll have 2 Lighthouse Teaching Artists and 2 professional musicians in the room to give participants supportive critiques. We’ll also have snacks, refreshments, and follow-up opportunities to learn and create more this summer with YMCA Lighthouse.
