4th grade students will receive firsthand experience in our garden-based education. Our indoor-outdoor classroom and demonstration kitchen applies science-based environmental education lessons, hands-on gardening, and hands-on cooking to promote sustainable agriculture, healthy eating, and healthy living! Our lessons are aligned to NGSS and CA Health standards. Students will explore nature and learn where their food comes from during this two hour program.

Chester County students in grades 4-12 are invited to use design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills to prototype an invention that will make the world a better place. Open to individual students and teams of up to three students. Use any materials you can access. There are no limits to the invention that you can create. Let your creativity soar!

The Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education at the University of San Diego is calling for middle- and high-school educators to join us in our effort to make a local and global impact. Through the Jacobs Teen Innovation Challenge in fall 2020 and spring 2021, educators and teenagers will develop an innovator’s mindset and the skills to create solutions to local or global problems.
