Rain, snow, sun… Spring in Wisconsin.
Either way, get outside, explore the land and get deep into nature and history all around you this weekend!
We have several wonderful events and indoor and outdoor resources to help you develop a deeper appreciation of the outdoors, local history and strengthen a ‘sense of place’ for you and your young learners. Check it out:
- The Driftless Historium Museum in Mount Horeb offers fascinating history exhibits and self-guided walking tours of west Dane County!
- The Historic Indian Agency House, one of the oldest homes in Wisconsin, has developed an online program where you can learn about the historical landscape.
- Get “deep” into nature with the Virtual Cave of the Mounds Tour, a true natural wonder!
- Jump in and dive down deep under to explore the Legend of the Lost Emerald (based on a real-life adventure) video game with PBS Wisconsin Education.
