We’re so excited to welcome Innovation Center Stoughton as a Remake Learning Days Badgerland Community Lead!
Their upcoming “Remake Learning Days” Festival highlights Stoughton’s legacy of creativity, innovation and joyful learning for youth and families!
Stoughton-area businesses and organizations will celebrate the City’s spirit of creativity and innovation as they open their doors and offer nine different free learning activities for families and youth during Wisconsin’s Remake Learning Days: Badgerland regional festival April 20-28, 2024.
The Stoughton celebration is spearheaded by the nonprofit Innovation Center Stoughton. Established in 2022, Innovation Center Stoughton engages community members in exploring new connections, ideas, skills and experiences to bring their ideas to life. It creates a vibrant community by empowering creativity; fostering lifelong learning; promoting entrepreneurship; and enhancing technical literacy.
Stoughton’s legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship goes back to the early 1800’s when T.G. Mandt established Mandt Wagons – a manufacturing and production facility that was essential to the early transportation sector. More innovators followed, including the Nelson brothers and their development of Nelson Mufflers (now Nelson Industries), Stoughton Truck Body (now Stoughton Trailers), various artistic endeavors, like the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers and other ‘firsts.’ In 2013, Fab Lab Stoughton became the first Fab Lab in Wisconsin for HS students, and only the second nationwide.
That spirit of creativity and innovation continues through the work of Innovation Center Stoughton and its many programs designed to build confidence and capacity for business, manufacturing and creative innovation and expression throughout the community.
Sharing that innovative spirit with the community, Innovation Center Stoughton has organized over one dozen family-friendly events and activities during this year’s Remake Learning Days Festival.
