In 2019, nearly 20,000 youth and adults joined us for Remake Learning Days! This festival of hands-on learning features 250+ events for youth, families, grandparents, caregivers and educators to explore creative and fun ways of learning.  We hope you’ll come explore these. creative and engaging events in 2021 for our 5th anniversary celebration.

Build a robot, code an art spinner, direct a film, be a scientist, explore the outdoors, make your own music, print your invention with a 3-D printer and more. Attend events at schools, museums, libraries, after-school organizations, child care centers, tech companies and more.

DiscoverED kicks off the RLD festivals across Pennsylvania!

On Tuesday, May 4, second grade classrooms across the state of Pennsylvania are invited to virtually swap schools to experience how STEAM and maker pedagogies are thriving in classrooms different from their own. Participating schools will connect virtually, and students will plan, create and iterate their own marble maze design. A live feed of this event will be streamed across schools as we launch Remake Learning Days!

Southwestern Pennsylvania: The Fred Method

Beginning in 1968, Fred Rogers’ landmark television program, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, was produced in Pittsburgh and broadcast across the United States. The program used a new technology — television — to nurture creativity, play, and close human relationships. Today, “The Fred Method” is Pittsburgh’s way of doing the same: Connecting timeless ideas with new ways of learning.
