Since it’s launch in 2016, Remake Learning Days has hosted 1200+ learning events reaching 150,000 families! In 2022, the festival featured 175+ events across the southwestern PA region for youth, families, grandparents, caregivers and educators to explore creative and fun ways of learning.
From May 2-22, come explore these creative and engaging events and celebrate joyful learning. Build a robot, code an art spinner, direct a film, be a scientist, explore the outdoors, make your own music, print your invention with a 3-D printer and more. Attend in-person and virtual events hosted by schools, museums, libraries, after-school organizations, child care centers, tech companies and more. Plus, search from 100+ virtual events across the nation.

Meet our Youth Ambassadors
For the 2023 Remake Learning Days – SWPA festival, we returned for a third year to our Pittsburgh-based Youth Ambassadors Program for Remake Learning Days. Our goals were to engage teens (grades 9-12) for their perspective on what community learning looks like in Pittsburgh.
DiscoverED kicks off the RLD festivals across Pennsylvania!
On Tuesday, May 2, first and second grade classrooms across the state of Pennsylvania are invited to virtually swap schools to experience how STEAM and maker pedagogies are thriving in classrooms different from their own. Participating schools will connect virtually, and students will plan, create and iterate their own marble maze design. A live feed of this event will be streamed across schools as we launch Remake Learning Days!

Southwestern Pennsylvania: The Fred Method
Beginning in 1968, Fred Rogers’ landmark television program, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, was produced in Pittsburgh and broadcast across the United States. The program used a new technology — television — to nurture creativity, play, and close human relationships. Today, “The Fred Method” is Pittsburgh’s way of doing the same: Connecting timeless ideas with new ways of learning.
