About this Event

“Ever wanted to give your students a taste of the real world?

Introducing Financial Literacy: The Game of Life – Wolfpack Style, an engaging experience that helps students:

  1. Master budgeting: Make critical financial decisions in a realistic setting.
  2. Connect education to success: Understand how education impacts career paths and earning potential.
  3. Experience the ups and downs of adulthood: Learn about the consequences and rewards of financial choices.

In this game, students step into the shoes of Volunteer Station residents. Each receives a unique profile: career, education level, income, family size, and life scenario. Facing real-world challenges like housing, transportation, and unexpected expenses, they must learn to manage their finances effectively.

Introducing the ‘Green Reaper’: Unforeseen events, from medical bills to car repairs, will test their budgeting skills.

Financial Coaches are here to help: Students who encounter financial difficulties will work with coaches to analyze their spending habits and develop strategies for improvement.

Financial Literacy: The Game of Life – Wolfpack Style is a fun and impactful way to prepare students for the financial realities of adulthood.”
