About this Event
Join us at this free, family-friendly event as we discover the role of wildlife in our watersheds, how to identify the signs they leave behind, and participate in a track-making activity!
The Venango Conservation District is hosting this family-friendly event to introduce both youth and adults to our local wildlife and their role in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Participants will discover the role of wildlife in our watersheds, how to identify the signs they leave behind, and participate in a track-making activity!
We will be sharing information about wildlife by using our “wildlife kit.” The kit contains fur pelts, skull replicas, track molds, and scat molds. After a brief presentation from our staff, participants will get to practice their identification skills using these items. At the end of the program, participants will get to preserve and decorate their own plaster-cast wildlife tracks to take home.
The event will take place at the Venango Conservation District office on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Our office is located at 4871 US 322, Franklin, PA 16323.
This activity will be both indoors and outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
This event is free and open to the public. Due to venue size and limited program materials, this event is limited to 25 participants. To register, please contact the Venango Conservation District by calling 814-676-2832 extension 2 or fill out the RSVP form linked below.
