Engineer Your Future at TechWorks!
Are you ready to put your problem-solving skills to the test and experience the excitement of engineering in action? Engineer Your Future at TechWorks is an immersive, hands-on event where students will tackle real-world engineering challenges, collaborate with peers, and explore the limitless possibilities of a career in STEM.
This engaging experience is designed to ignite curiosity and creativity, allowing participants to step into the shoes of engineers, designers, and problem-solvers. Whether you’re launching rockets, constructing vehicles, or experimenting with heat shields, each challenge will push your critical thinking and teamwork skills to the next level.
Event Highlights:
• Build a Boat, Build a Car, Build a Rocket – Design, construct, and test your creations in a series of fun and interactive engineering challenges. Will your boat float? Can your car go the distance? How high will your rocket soar?
• Heat Shield Build – Protect your spacecraft from extreme temperatures! Use engineering principles to design a heat shield that can withstand intense heat, just like real aerospace engineers do.
• Ship the Chip – Engineers must design packaging to transport delicate cargo safely. In this challenge, students will create a protective system to ensure fragile items reach their destination intact, just like real-world logistics engineers.
• Astronaut Parachute – Engineers must create reliable landing systems for astronauts returning to Earth. Can you design a parachute that ensures a safe and controlled descent? Put your creativity to the test!
• Packing for space – Ever wonder what astronauts can take with them on a mission? Discover the challenges of packing for space, explore weight and storage limitations, and decide what essential (or fun) items you would bring on a journey beyond Earth.
• Planetarium Experience – Step into the cosmos and explore the wonders of space in a captivating planetarium show. Learn about the engineering behind space missions.
