Washington Wild Things Winners Day, sponsored by EQT, is an all-day event where local schools are invited to attend a preseason baseball game; the event also includes a STEM Zone where students can engage in hands-on activities run by local organizations.
Winners Day is an event hosted by the Washington Wild Things in partnership with EQT. Local schools are invited to bring their students for a preseason baseball game. Winners Day also included a STEM-activity area, where students can partake in hands-on learning experiences. The STEM Zone consists of 8-10 activity booths run by partnering organizations. Previous partners included BotsIQ, Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, Intermediate Unit 1, WQED Education, UPMC Dental Care Managers, and The Education Partnership. To join in the fun, schools need to register with the Washington Wild Things in advance.
