About this Event

Come explore some of our native habitats here at Lakeside Nature Center and learn about which different animals and plants you might find in each one!

Come join us for a fun afternoon of exploring some of our native habitats and hiking our nature trail! Learn about some of the plants and animals that surround us in these environments and what makes them unique. Participants will receive a “Habitat Passport” to our Prairie, Forests and Woodlands, Limestone Glade and Wetlands and Marsh. There will be information at each habitat on what makes it special, as well as biofacts you can look at up close and touch such as turtle shells, feathers, snake sheds, furs and more! Come meet a few of the animals that live in these habitats as well.
