About this Event

The types of energy and how we use it in our homes, businesses , transport and communities are constantly evolving.

Come along to this interactive session to learn about and discuss the changing energy technologies from yesterday and today and trial some ‘futures tools’ to explore possible energy futures.

  • How do we use and generate energy in our city today?
  • How is that different to 100 years ago?
  • What might our energy future look like?

This session will be facilitated by Sheralee MacDonald, a member of the Ōtautahi Futures Collective. Sheralee is passionate about supporting innovators, entrepreneurs and commercialising technology that contributes to a lower emission future. She has worked with various energy related organisations in NZ and Canada including EECA, Windflow Technology and ElectricAir (NZ’s first electric plane). She is currently Innovation Facilitator at Orion, the electricity distributor for Christchurch and Selwyn. Drop in or register your interest with Sheralee at sheraleemacd@gmail.com.
