About Remake Learning Days

Remake Learning Days (RLD) is a celebration of innovative experiences and opportunities for youth to develop their sense of creativity, perseverance and curiosity. In 2025, we are celebrating 10 years!

Wonder, Explore and Learn Together.

Launched in 2016, Remake Learning Days is a celebration of learning! This festival of events is hosted by a variety of organizations, such as schools, museums, libraries, after school organizations, early child care centers, parks, universities, media centers, tech startups and more.  These events are designed to be hands-on, relevant and engaging educational experiences for youth of all ages (pre-K through high school) and their families, caregivers and educators.  The majority of events are free and open to kids of all ages. Kids become more interested in the learning process when a caring adult is learning with them. With that in mind, events are designed for a parent/caregiver to learn alongside their kids and to wonder and explore together.

In 2019, RLD started to take root in other regions, including international locales and pop-up events in non-festival regions. In 2025, RLD is celebrating its 10th anniversary and taking root in 15 regions across the world. RLD is powered by Remake Learning and its fiscal sponsor is the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

Explore Events by Learning Themes, Age Groups, and More for Families, Youth, and Educators

Events are organized by different learning themes such as: Arts, Maker, Outdoor Learning, Science, Technology and Youth Voice. In addition, there are Professional Development sessions for school, out-of-school, child care and non-traditional educators. Families, youth and educators can search events by  date/time, location, learning theme, age group (pre-K through high school), tags and more. Come back in February 2025 to begin exploring RLD events.

Partners & Media Partners

Remake Learning Days (RLD) is powered by Remake Learning, a peer network for educators and innovators in southwestern Pennsylvania. RLD celebrates the spirit of Remake Learning with families and youth throughout the country and is supported by many partners.

We are grateful to our international sponsor, The Grable Foundation, for their commitment to education and helping youth from all experiences and backgrounds. We also appreciate our partner The Pennsylvania Department of Education for its support of the seven festivals across the Commonwealth.

The Grable Foundation is guided by our mission to help children and youth become independent, caring, contributing members of society by supporting programs critical to children’s successful development. With a focus on southwestern Pennsylvania, we seek out nonprofit partners who share our commitment to making our region the best place in the world to be — and to raise — a child. Learn more at www.grable.org.

Remake Learning is a free, peer network for educators and innovators in the greater Pittsburgh region. Currently made up of 2,250+ members across 10 counties, the network helps connect people, projects, and organizations, making it easier for them to share best practices, collaborate on new ideas, and find funding and professional learning. In 2025, Remake Learning celebrates its 10th anniversary of its signature project, the Remake Learning days festivals.
