Laura Thomson is the Workforce Development Coordinator and Public Relations Director at South Allegheny School District, where she has dedicated 32 years to education and student empowerment. Passionate about global issues, she has participated in transformative study programs with Classrooms Without Borders, including Holocaust education in Poland, civil rights exploration in the Deep South, and also climate research in the Arctic with Polar Bears International, and mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda, Africa with Jack Hanna. Her commitment to advocacy extends to founding the high school-level Eradicate Hate program, a nationally recognized initiative promoting inclusivity. With experience at the Pittsburgh Zoo and a global perspective on human rights and conservation, Laura continues to inspire change in education and beyond.
