Samuel is a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh and he has spent his whole career in education as a teacher, administrator, and now curriculum specialist. He is an honors graduate with a mathematics degree from Allegheny College, has a master’s degree in secondary mathematics education from the University of Pittsburgh, and a principal’s certification from Point Park University. He has gained well-rounded experiences throughout his career. He has 10 years experience in education as a teacher at Virginia Beach Middle School and West Allegheny Middle School, an assistant principal at West Allegheny High School, and now as a curriculum specialist at Intermediate Unit 1. A fun fact about Samuel is that he is related to the founder of Flag Day, and his 11 month old son was born on Flag Day!
