ENGINE Equity Event Host Awards

We can’t wait to help amplify over 250,000 students and their families across Central PA!

Thanks to Remake Learning Days, ENGINE of Central PA is supporting learning events like yours, both events already planned for this year and new ones!

With the support of our national sponsors, grants for events will be used to help support families, students and/or educators in the 12 county reach of ENGINE, and support events to be more accessible and equitable to the communities served. The extended deadline to submit a funding request is Friday, February 23rd, 2024.  After February 23rd, event funding will still be available and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

 

Who could apply for the 2024 ENGINE Equity Event Host Awards?

Any organization that is hosting an opportunity or event during Remake Learning Days from April 20 – May 31, 2024 and/or during the Remake Learning Days of Central PA from May 2-22, 2024, time frames supporting families, students and/or educators across the 12 county area – this includes but not limited to: academic clubs, arts organizations, community centers, early childhood learning centers, libraries, museums, non-government agencies, out of school time organizations, parks, post-secondary institutions, schools, science centers, etc.

 

Event Host Awards Applications

Remake Learning Days (RLD) is offering a limited number of event host awards (or mini-grants) to Event Hosts across the PA-Central Region. These funds are to help event hosts offset costs in hosting a RLD event. Awards range from $150, $250 to $350.

RLD strives to provide inclusive, hands-on learning experiences to all learners. Following Remake Learning’s Equity Pillars, your PA-Central RLD Team will prioritize mini-grants to event hosts whose RLD event supports inclusion of all learners including: 1. Learners in poverty, 2. Learners of color, 3. Learners in rural areas, 4. Girls in STEM and 5. Learners with disabilities.

 

ENGINE Equity Event Host Awards

Extended date to request funding: Friday, February 23, 2024  11:59 pm

Please complete the following requirement before submitting the ENGINE Equity Event Host Award Funding Request:

  1. Submit your event by accessing the “Submit Your Event” orange tab above. When you reach the “When + Where” select the region: “PA-Central” and select the event type depending on your date:
    1. If your event occurs May 2-22, 2024: During Regional Festival Dates
    2. If your event occurs April 20-May 1, 2024: Pre-Festival
    3. If your event occurs May 23-31, 2024: Post-Festival
      1. All events, during the full RLD STEAM Festival date range, will qualify for an Event Host Award.
    4. You can make changes and updates to your event at any time, even up to a week before your event.
  2. Then, submit your ENGINE Equity Event Host Award request through this form, RLD 2024 Event Host Award Application for Central PA Google Form, by February 23rd, 2024.

When will I be informed of the funding request?

You should expect to hear a decision from our team by February 27, 2024.
