About this Event

Eco Day takes place on the banks of the Kishoquillas creek.  Mifflin County High School ecology students choose an ecological concept and design a mini-lesson or learning station.  Other secondary students accompany the fifth graders as they explore throughout the two dozen or more experiences.

Fifth graders from our district and the local Catholic school  rotate through our learning stations.

Students also release our Trout in the Classroom Program raised-in-the-classroom trout into the local watershed.

Various community partners also engage students with Environmental Literacy and Sustainability including Trout Unlimited, PADCNR, Mifflin County Conservation District and many more.
