Explore ‘How to Be an Inventor’ – Interactive Family Sessions!

Looking for an exciting and creative activity this school holiday? Join our interactive family sessions and dive into the world of inventing! Whether your child is a budding engineer, a creative thinker, or just loves making things, this is the perfect opportunity to explore, design, and bring ideas to life.

Our two-hour sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and hands-on, introducing children (and their families!) to the exciting process of invention. Led by our team, these sessions will inspire creativity and encourage kids to think like real inventors.

Times: 10am to 12pm & 1pm to 3pm

Venue: Danum Gallery, Library & Museum, Doncaster, DN1 3BZ

Do I need to book? No, these are drop-in sessions so feel free to come along anytime during the two hour slots.

What’s in Store?

🔹 See Amazing Inventions from Our YouTube Channel

Ever wondered what happens when kids’ invention ideas come to life? During the session, children will get a chance to see real inventions that we’ve built based on kids’ designs, all featured on our popular YouTube channel. From wacky machines to problem-solving gadgets, these fun and inspiring creations showcase the power of young imaginations.

🔹 Live Demonstrations

In addition to seeing our past inventions, we’ll be showcasing live demonstrations of some of our most exciting builds! This is a fantastic opportunity to see how different inventions work, explore the mechanics behind them, and ask questions about how they were made.

🔹 Design Your Own Invention

Now it’s time to get creative! Children will have the chance to design their very own invention, using their imagination to solve real-world problems or come up with something completely unique. With support and guidance, they’ll sketch out ideas and start thinking about how their invention could work in real life.

🔹 Hands-On Prototyping

Bringing an invention to life is the best part! Kids won’t just design—they’ll also get hands-on with prototyping, creating simple models of their inventions using craft materials, basic electronics, and other creative supplies. This is where ideas turn into something real, sparking problem-solving skills and practical creativity.

🔹 A Chance to Feature on Our YouTube Channel!

We love sharing kids’ ideas with the world! Some of the most creative inventions from our sessions may even get a chance to be built and featured on our YouTube channel, reaching thousands of viewers. If your child has a fantastic idea, it could be brought to life by our team in a future video!

Perfect for All Ages

These sessions are designed for children aged 4-11, but the whole family is welcome to join in the fun. Whether your child loves science, engineering, art, or just making things, they’ll have a fantastic time learning about the exciting world of inventing in a relaxed and friendly environment.
