About this Event

The Mexborough Library team will work nationally renowned, award winning Doncaster based film maker Wayne Sables to host a one off session on how to get into film making in the UK.

Wayne has worked with Doncaster Council for a number of years and is a filmmaker, photographer and digital artist. Wayne is son of a Doncaster Miner and will share his experiences of how to get in to filmmaking in the UK. Wayne recently worked on hugely successful Doncaster and the Miners’ Strike film that had it’s premiere at nearby Cusworth Hall.

Embarking on a filmmaking journey can be both exciting and daunting, especially in a vibrant industry like the UK’s. Whether you aspire to create short films, documentaries, or feature-length movies, Wayne will share his experience and are some key considerations to help you get started.

The session will also involve a short masterclass in improving your photography using your mobile phone.
