About this Event
Discover an exciting underwater world with us as you pond dip our freshwater ponds!
Freshwater is so important for wildlife and for humans. We might not always be able to see what’s under the surface of ponds and streams but there is an exciting world of plans and creatures all doing an amazing job of keeping the ecosystem doing what it should.
From water beetles to water boatman, and water snails to water spiders, the diversity of wildlife is beyond imagination. Join us as we provide all the equipment needed to explore this fascinating habitat.
This is a drop in event, you can arrive at any time between the start and finish. We can get extremely busy at times, so we appreciate your patience as we await for a space to open up so you can have your turn.
Attending the event is free, however if you wish to stay and explore the nature reserve there is a £5 per adult charge (children go in free). Entry is free to members of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust
