About this Event

Spring has sprung and a number of organizations across the country are celebrating Earth Day. On Saturday, April 19, the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council is partnering with a number of local Kansas City organizations to celebrate Earth Day with an outdoor festival from 11 a.m. to  2 p.m. at the Nutter Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center on 3700 Woodland Ave.

You’ll find fun for the environmental enthusiasts, families and kids alike! Highlights of the festival will include outdoor engagement opportunities with the native plant garden, community garden, and learning farm, educator tents on various environmental topics designed for youth and their families, and other educational resources like Compost Collective, Ripple Glass, NRCS, American Farmland Trust, and more! Activities for kids feature discovery trunks from Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, face painting, and a bouncy house! Free lunch, snow cones, and reusable water bottles available while supplies last.
