About this Event

Visit us to take a Hands-On approach to Career Exploration

Join us for an interactive STEAM Showcase — a hands-on learning event where participants rotate through activities hosted by every program. Designed for curious minds of all ages, this experience offers practical demonstrations, skill-building stations, and take-home creations.

Featured activities by program:

  2. Nursing: Explore human body systems through engaging demonstrations that explain how organs and systems work together to support health.
  3. Surgical Technology: Play a life-size Operation-style game and participate in a virtual surgery experience to discover surgical tools and techniques.
  4. Truck Driving: Crawl through a semi truck to identify blind spots and learn about safety features and driver awareness.
  5. Welding: Try virtual welding simulations and visit the mobile welding lab for live demonstrations of welding processes.
  6. Automotive Technology: Learn basic vehicle care and maintenance, and get hands-on practice using common automotive tools and diagnostic technology.
  7. HVAC: See a precision blower motor in action and watch as it suspends balls of various sizes to demonstrate airflow and pressure.
  8. Makerspace Technology: Watch laser engraving demonstrations and create a personalized commemorative dog tag. Enjoy a 3D-printing demo and take home a chance to win 3D-printed prizes.
