About this Event

Clarion Area students will demonstrate their knowledge of Simple Machines by creating cardboard arcade games with the help of students from SPSEA Penn West School of Education through the Global Cardboard Challenge.

May Day Play Day is a collaboration between SPSEA, Penn West Clarion School of Education, and the 4th-grade science classes from Clarion Area Elementary School. 4th-grade students will demonstrate their knowledge of Simple Machines with the support of PennWest Clarion School of Education’s freshman class by creating several cardboard games. This is part of The Global Cardboard Challenge. The Global Cardboard Challenge is a movement started by a 9-year-old boy and an independent filmmaker. Together, they created imagination.org to inspire children to play, imagine, and make their own fun. This collaboration began with a cardboard arcade created by Cane Monroy.
