About this Event

This theater workshop is an exciting and immersive experience where kids can use their creativity, build confidence, and develop new skills as they act, sing, and dance their way through a fun-filled day of the arts!

Our “Theatre Magic: Act, Sing, Dance!” workshop is a fun-filled two-hour experience designed to introduce kids to the exciting world of musical theater! This workshop is the perfect chance for any child curious about the three key elements of theater: singing, acting, and dancing. The event will be lead by three experienced instructors, and is crafted to build confidence, show off creativity, and enhance teamwork in an energetic environment.

The focus will begin on singing and how important the voice is for a successful show. The children will be guided through a short song where they will learn correct and healthy vocal technique, then they will be encouraged to focus on how to display the meaning behind the song to an audience.

Next, the children will experience a lively, and fun dance session! This portion of the workshop will allow the kids to learn coordination, stage presence, and how to express emotion through movement.

Finally, the kids will dive into acting! They will learn how to bring characters and stories to life through fun and interactive exercises and skits while simultaneously working on projecting their voice, their confidence, and showmanship.

By the end of the workshop the children will bring these three key elements together. They will feel the excitement and joy of theater by performing for one another and showcasing their skills. Whether a child is an aspiring performer or simply curious about theater, this workshop is the perfect way to explore the magic of musical theater!
