About this Event
Join Kathy Uglow, Crawford County Conservation District, and Mark Lewis, DCNR Bureau of Forestry, for an outdoor Tree ID Walk and picnic in Stainbrook Park for all ages!
End your week on a happy note with us! We will go outdoors, get some fresh air, and relax on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Put on your walking shoes and join Kathy Uglow, Crawford County Conservation District Environmental Education Specialist, and Mark Lewis, Service Forester, DCNR PA Bureau of Forestry, for an outdoor Tree ID Walk and picnic in Stainbrook Park! (Come on your own or bring the family…all ages are welcome.)
We will explore the various, beautiful trees in Stainbrook Park and along the Conservation District’s Peter A. Yeager trail. You will find out basic tree identification skills and you will learn how to use a dichotomous key (that you can take home) to be able to identify more trees on your own later!
The Tree ID Walk starts at 5:00 p.m. and after our tree walk, everyone can enjoy a hot dog roast and snacks at Stainbrook Park picnic shelter (#1). Call 814-763-5269 or e-mail kathy@crawfordconservation.org to register for this event.
