About this Event
Students will present their simple machines in small groups, explaining how they work and the principles behind their design. They will be assessed on creativity, functionality, and their ability to articulate the engineering concepts used in their project.
Objectives:
- Engineering Design Process: Understanding the steps of designing, building, and testing a prototype.
- Simple Machines: Identifying different types of simple machines (lever, pulley, inclined plane, etc.) and how they make work easier.
- Collaboration: Working effectively in teams to brainstorm, create, and refine their designs.
- Problem-Solving: Using critical thinking to troubleshoot issues during the building process.
- Reflection: Evaluating what worked well and what could be improved in their designs.
