About this Event

Build-A-Bot invites kids and families to explore basic robotics by designing, assembling, and testing their own simple moving bots using creative materials and beginner-friendly circuits.

Build-A-Bot is a hands-on robotics workshop where kids and families explore how simple machines and basic circuits work by designing and creating their own homemade bots. Using motors, batteries, craft materials, and plenty of imagination, participants will assemble small robots that wiggle, spin, race, or draw as they move. Along the way, learners will discover foundational STEM concepts—including energy transfer, motion, balance, and problem-solving—while gaining confidence through experimentation and teamwork. This program is welcoming to all ages and abilities, offering a fun and accessible introduction to robotics that encourages creativity, curiosity, and play. Everyone will leave with a bot they built themselves and a deeper understanding of how everyday technology works.
