About this Event

Light Up the Library lets kids explore basic circuitry by creating their own glowing, light-up art and designs to brighten our library walls.

Light Up the Library is an exciting, hands-on STEAM workshop where kids and families learn the basics of simple circuits by creating their own glowing artwork and light-up designs. Using LED lights, copper tape, coin batteries, and colorful craft materials, participants will explore how electricity flows, how circuits work, and how creativity and science can come together to make something magical. Once their projects are complete, participants are invited to display their illuminated creations throughout the library to help “light up” our space with color and imagination. This event is open to all ages and abilities and is designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and offer a playful introduction to electrical engineering through art.
