About this Event
Participants will learn how animal teeth reveal their diet and then get hands-on with owl pellets to uncover real animal bones and identify what an owl has eaten.
Join us for an exciting hands-on exploration of the animal world! In this interactive session, participants will uncover the secrets hidden in animal skulls and owl pellets to learn about diet, adaptation, and the food chain.
Participants will examine real animal skulls and use clues from their teeth to determine whether the animal was a herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore. By identifying key features, such as sharp canines or flat molars, learners will develop critical thinking and observation skills as they analyze each specimen.
Participants will also become wildlife detectives as they carefully pull apart real owl pellets to discover what an owl has eaten. They will be able to match tiny bones to common prey while learning about predator-prey relationships and the role of owls in the ecosystem.
This engaging experience encourages curiosity about biology, animal science, and the natural world. Perfect for learners of all ages, this event provides a fun and educational opportunity to think like a scientist and uncover nature’s hidden stories!
