About this Event

Learn about the ecology of a vernal pool before walking a short distance to explore and discover the different types of critters that call these forest ponds home.

Learn about the ecology of a vernal pool before walking a short distance to one found here at Pinchot Park. Once we get there, we will explore and discover the different types of critters that call these forest ponds home. The program will last about an hour, depending on weather conditions. Meet at the campground office, which can be found at the entrance to our campground along East Camping Area Road. This is a family-friendly program; children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting a little wet and muddy.
