About this Event

Join us for a free, community-based event that provides equitable access to STEM learning and early technology career awareness for Pre-K to high school students and their families.

Byte-Sized Brilliance: Little Learners to Big Thinkers will embody the YWCA vision statement by providing a hands-on, age-appropriate variety of technology experiences for students to explore real-world applications of science, engineering, coding, and emerging technologies, while engaging alongside partner families, educators, and the community.

Those in attendance at our event will experience an array of hands-on learning stations that vary from the Pre-K level, up to and including high school learners. The learning stations will operate with activities taken from our curricula, which we currently use in our Early Learning Center and Out of School programs (examples: Frog Street, Spheros Edu, Finch, and Makey Makey). Our educators and community volunteers will facilitate each technology station.

In addition to offering a fun day of STEM, we will provide healthy refreshments and have a chance to win raffle giveaways that reinforce the STEM teachings and learning at Byte-Sized Brilliance: Little Learners to Big Thinkers, Remake Learning Day.
