About this Event

Ever wonder how pizza comes from a plant? Students will explore where their favorite ingredients originate before making and tasting their own “pizza on a stick.”

Join us for Remake Learning Days at the South Park Township Library in partnership with Allegheny Land Trust to explore the fascinating world of seeds. The program will take place at the pavilion next to the Community Center. If you’re coming straight from a busy day, don’t worry — we’ll have pizza for families to enjoy!

After we share some slices, we’ll welcome Allegheny Land Trust for an exciting program called “Can You Plant a Pizza?” Ever wonder how pizza comes from a plant? Students will explore where their favorite ingredients originate before making and tasting their own “pizza on a stick.” And yes — there’s even more pizza fun!

Additionally, children will have the opportunity to plant a few rare seeds donated from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed… to take home, allowing them to observe their growth and development firsthand.
