About this Event

Local high school students will tour DMI Companies to learn how HVAC components are designed and manufactured, while exploring career opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, and skilled trades.

High school students will visit DMI Companies for an educational tour designed to introduce them to careers in manufacturing, engineering, and the skilled trades. Students will learn about the company’s role in producing HVAC duct connection systems and will observe key manufacturing processes such as material handling, fabrication, assembly, and quality control.

During the tour, students will hear from employees about their career paths, training, and daily responsibilities, helping them understand the wide range of opportunities available in modern manufacturing. Staff will also emphasize the importance of safety, teamwork, and precision in a production environment.

This experience will help students connect classroom concepts in math, science, and technology to real-world applications while learning about post-secondary pathways such as apprenticeships, technical training, and college programs. By seeing a working facility and speaking with industry professionals, students will gain a better understanding of manufacturing careers and the role they play in supporting infrastructure and industry.
