About this Event
A hands-on STEM exploration day exclusively for girls in grades 4th-6th
BotsIQ’s Girls Exploring Tech Day event will be back for its third year. This event looks to not only connect girls to the history of women in technology, but also help them envision a future in the industry. Our goal is to have over 100 registered girls who will engage in two technology-focused, hands-on activities. Students will be tasked with various challenges that introduce them to technology careers in a fun and accessible way. In addition to these careers, professionals from multiple regional companies will volunteer to share their technical knowledge and excitement for the industry.
Girls Exploring Tech Day began as an expansion of BotsIQ’s “Girls Exploring” event series, a day meant to provide opportunities for young girls to experience STEM fields and raise awareness of tech-focused careers. It is the first and only event in the series that is designed to serve elementary school students, rather than middle or high school students, by crafting hand-on experiences that show these future professionals an industry they might not get to experience otherwise.
BotsIQ’s Girls Exploring series aims to offer engaging STEM learning opportunities, fostering creativity and critical thinking among students. Our programs are crafted to spark an interest and to inspire students to continue exploring STEM subjects, and ideally one day want to pursue a STEM career. Since 2005, over 15,000 students have joined BotsIQ’s exciting, hands-on STEM programs, all while building the technical knowledge and skills needed for rewarding advanced manufacturing and STEM careers.
