About this Event
BotsIQ's "Girls Exploring Tech Day" is a free, hands-on experience designed to inspire and empower 4th-6th grade girls to explore careers in technology, manufacturing, engineering, and robotics alongside industry mentors—building skills, confidence, and curiosity about future careers in STEM!
This one-day event introduces students to real-world STEM pathways through engaging activities, industry connections, and collaborative problem-solving in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Students rotate through interactive workshops that highlight how technology and manufacturing impact everyday life. Activities may include introductory robotics challenges, basic coding and automation, electronics and circuitry fundamentals, and design-based problem-solving tied to real manufacturing processes. Students learn by doing—building, testing, and troubleshooting—just like professionals in technical fields.
A core component of Girls Exploring Tech Day is exposure to careers and role models. Students connect with industry professionals, educators, and mentors working in advanced manufacturing, robotics, engineering, and related technical careers. Hosted by BotsIQ, a workforce development program focused on robotics and manufacturing education, this event aims to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and help girls envision themselves as future innovators and leaders in STEM.
