About this Event
Experience STEAM like never before with hands-on, interactive challenges that make learning fun, engaging and unforgettable!
This will be a STEAM event where learning comes to life through engaging, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Instead of traditional lessons students and guests will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through interactive challenges, maker tasks, and real-world problem-solving.
From building and testing structures to designing innovative solutions with cutting edge tools, the Schiller Steam Symposium reimagines learning as an active, immersive experience. Sixth grade students and their guests will laser-cut and build wooden bird houses. Seventh Grade students and guests will use critical thinking to co-create coding for robots in order for their robots to detect problems in our simulated city water pipelines. Eighth grade students and guests will use teamwork to grow Schillers sustainability impact through our urban conservation project as they lay garden beds and plant trees and flowers.
Whether it’s coding a simple program, engineering a functional machine, or building biodiverse forests in urban areas, our goal for this event is to be both educational and fun. But it isn’t just about what our students and their guests learn, it’s about how they learn. By doing, experimenting, and discovering, participants gain a deeper understanding of key concepts while building confidence and problem-solving abilities.
